Sajed joined the FBMC Benefits Management team in 2017 and oversees the Information Technology, Benefit Administration, and Project Management units. He manages the development and tactical execution of strategic initiatives to advance organizational goals. This results in superb client-management and customer service skills at the highest levels. With more than 17 years of experience in the technology field, he’s an incisive technical leader with the ability to anticipate, develop and implement organizational needs, always leveraging best practices.

Michael H. Sheridan
Mike has been in the insurance and benefits business since 1962 and in management since 1965. A Miami, Florida native, he started his career after completing his education at the University of Miami and later founded FBMC in 1976. He stepped down as President in 1997 and remains active as Board Chair.
Board Vice Chair
Agnes has been a member of the FBMC Board of Directors since 2000. She retired after 15 years as President of PESCO and Executive Vice President for FBMC’s Administration Services and Operations divisions. Following her retirement, Agnes opened her own project management and consulting firm. From 2006 to 2010 she contracted primarily with the Big Bend Rural Health Network providing grant writing and management services for outreach and education grants awarded by the Florida Office of Minority Health. She served as interim President of FBMC from February 2011 to June 2011. Agnes is actively engaged in the community and volunteers her time with environmental and political organizations.
Jerome Osteryoung, Ph.D.
Jerry’s educational background includes degrees from Georgia Tech, the University of South Florida and a doctorate from Georgia State University. He was the founding Executive Director of the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship and is a Professor of Finance (Emeritus) at the FSU College of Business. His written works on entrepreneurial and financial subjects are published regularly and he is an active community volunteer.
For close to two decades, Anita held the position of City Manager of Tallahassee until retirement. Over the years, she’s maintained a rigorous schedule of participation in the community that led to leadership positions associated with the American Cancer Society, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Campaign, Florida A&M University Strategic Planning Committee, and Tallahassee Chapter of The Links, Inc. and more. She is a founding member of Oasis Center for Women and Girls, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and Bethel AME Church in Tallahassee. Anita is a graduate of Park University, in Parkville, Missouri and earned an M.A. in Public Administration/Personnel Management from Central Michigan University.
Steven L. Evans
Steve played baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals organization for six years, then joined IBM where he worked for more than 30 years. During his tenure at IBM, he served as IBM’s Senior State Executive for the State of Florida. Currently, he works with civic and community boards that include the Florida Tax Watch, Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, United Way and Prime Meridian Bank. Since retiring from IBM, Steve has been working with a group of investors and mentors in Tallahassee who have directly assisted and invested in starting several new companies in the manufacturing, technology, and banking industry. Steve serves as a mentor and executive coach to a number of individuals & organizations throughout the Southeast U.S. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1971.
